“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”

DISCUSSION:
As good as "I love you forever, I love you forever, I love you forever Lord" is, "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the bible tells me so" is better. Why? It's not about the writers of the songs or the instruments played in the song. It's about the eternal faithfulness of the meaning of the words in both songs. One tells of man's love for God, which is often fleeting and grossly unfaithful. But the other tells of Jesus' love for us which is eternally unshakable. So, whilst we should love God with all of our hearts, we trust more in His love for us. Our love for Him has the possibility of failing, but there is no never forever any possible possibility eternal eternally of His love for us failing. Hallelujah! 1John 4:10&19; "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. We love him, because he first loved us." Our love for Him is predicated on His love for us. Although we may sing about our love for Him, we only trust in His love for us.
Likewise, it is very good to sing; "I will never leave you Lord, I'll always be faithful to you...", but it is far better to sing; "You're too faithful to fail me, you're too faithful to disappoint me...". Why? Our faithfulness changes like the weather; our devotion to Him is susceptible to circumstances. This isn't supposed to be so, but it's the sad reality concerning men. But God's faithfulness is more concrete than the rising and setting of the sun. He truly never fails, nor can He ever realize that He cannot do what He promised to do. 2Timothy 2:13; "If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself." You might fail on your faithfulness to God, but you must never forget that God's faithfulness to you can never change. This is the anchor of our faith; that GOD IS! (Hebrews 11:6). He is! This is a statement of absolute faithfulness. He doesn't change. He is! That is definite and unchangeable. This is our eternal confidence. God is faithful. So When the devil tempts you to put your faith in your faithfulness; redirect your faith to God's faithfulness. God's faithful love is the more important anchor for our faith and expectations in life. Be of good cheer beloved, what God has said He will do for you, He surely will do. He is too faithful to fail you. Shalom Uvracha!
