“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
Gal.5.1
Discussion
To be born again means you have been delivered. Delivered from what? Delivered from the power of darkness; Col.1.13. Delivered from the powers of your enemies; Luke.10.19. Delivered from condemnation and eternal destruction; John.3.18; Delivered from death; Heb.2.14-15; 1John.3.14.
Now that you've been delivered by Christ Jesus, it is your responsibility to STAND FAST in the liberty Christ has already given you, less you become entangled again with the yoke of bondage. This is not a case of protecting your salvation. Not at all! It's a case of standing in your salvation. Since salvation came by faith in Christ Jesus (Eph.2.8-9), then the way to stand in your salvation is by faith in Christ Jesus. Stand fast by remaining in the understanding that Christ saved you and justified you by faith, not by your works. Gal.5.1; "So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law."NLT. In our day, many saints have been brought under bondage to the ordinances and ideologies of men. Remember that Jesus received you while you were still a sinner, then how can He reject you now because you failed to sow a "financial seed" or any such thing. The devil seeks to move you away from your convictions in Christ. He seeks to shipwreck your faith and make you doubt the solidity of Christ's sacrifice. If you have been delivered as the scriptures above show us, why are you still in bondage to regular deliverance sessions? Is Christ's sacrifice temporary? To be free indeed is to be permanently free. The devil will do all he can to convince you otherwise. That's why you're admonished to STAND FAST!
