“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.”
Mark.4.24;
Discussion
Your mind is the most powerful organ in your body; more powerful than all the other sense organs. Yet, what you hear determines how you think and what you think about. Therefore, Jesus says to you; "take heed what you hear". If people only knew how much influence the person they're listening to has on their lives, they surely would be more careful choosing who to listen to. Did you also know that what you hear from people you submit to will ultimately become what you hear in your spirit as divine instructions? That is; God's word to you will be an emphasis on what your mentor/leader says to you. This is good if your leader speaks God's mind to you. But if your leader is selfish or ignorant, God's true word to you will be shielded away by deceptive voices of error and foolishness. Jesus had spoken volumes to his disciples; therefore he says in John.14.26; "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." So, the Holy Spirit will speak to them from the words Jesus already spoke to them. That's how it works. Your teacher's/leader's words are the contents from which God will speak personally to you.
Let's see another example; Moses was about to die and leave Joshua in charge of the whole nation of Israel. Hear Moses' instructions to Joshua; Deut.31.6; 'Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Now, after Moses' death, God began to speak to Joshua. Hear God's direct words to Joshua; Josh 1:9; "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." See how God's word to Joshua was exactly what Moses said to Joshua? It is your responsibility to make it easy for yourself to hear God speak to you. Do this by making sure you submit your ears to proper doctrine. Don't listen to just everybody with a microphone or every YouTube video. Take heed what you hear.
Shalom Uvracha!
Meditation
Mark.4.24; — And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you - and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. AMP
