“Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.”
Mark.5.3-4
Discussion
Jesus encountered a man possessed by many demons on the shores of the country of the Gadarenes. Empowered by these demon spirits, the man was able to pluck the chains asunder and break the fetters in pieces. He was literally unstoppable. How could a mortal man be this powerful? The reason was because he was empowered by demon spirits. Now, if a demon spirit could have such an unmistakable effect on a human, what about the Holy Spirit of God? Let's see a similar account of possession, but this time a possession of a man by the Holy Spirit. Judg.15.14; "And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands." The Spirit of the Lord took hold of Samson and made him unstoppable and indestructible. Possessed by the Holy Spirit, Samson broke the cords and bands the men of Judah used to tie his hands. They fell off his hands as if they were burnt strands of flax.
The presence of the Holy Ghost literally burnt the cords without any effort from Samson. Hallelujah! Therefore, spirits empower humans to do the impossible. Demon spirits empower men but the Spirit of God empowers saints. So, if you want to walk in the impossible, you'll have to be possessed by the Spirit of God. If the Spirit of God takes hold of you, nothing will be impossible for you. This is why the scriptures admonish us to constantly be under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Eph 5:18; "Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you."NLT. The immediate result of this will be; Eph.5.19-20; "Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts. And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."NLT. This will snowball into a life of good works, miracles, wonders and greater works (Acts 1:8, Acts 10:38). Dear saint, make up your mind not to live life ordinarily. To be ordinary is to be a casualty. Choose to live extraordinarily by being fully under the influence of the Holy Spirit at all times. Shalom Uvracha!

Acts 10:38 — How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
