“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”
Ephesians 3: 20
Discussion
There is a power in you. You received this power when you received the Holy Spirit; Acts.1.8; "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." This power is already in you. It's called DUNAMIS, meaning miraculous faculty, divine ability to make things happen supernaturally. Again, this power already dwells in you by the Holy Ghost you received. Now, through this power, God wants to work amazing things through you. That's the reason for the power; that God may through you demonstrate His greatness in raising Jesus from the dead; Eph.1.19-20; "And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places." Therefore, this power enables you to be a witness of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
A witness is one who gives evidence of a matter in contention in a court of law or in any place of decision. If you claim that Jesus is alive, then He will be doing the same things He did before He was crucified more than 2000 years ago. So, when we preach that Jesus is alive today, we go ahead and provide the evidences. How do we do this? Mark.16.17-18; "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Just like the first-generation apostles did; Acts.4.33; "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all." We have been empowered to do same and more; John.14.12; "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." Our opening verse reveals a limitation to the expression to this power in us. It says God will only do mighty works in accordance to the power AT WORK in us. So, it's not automatic. The degree to which you allow the power to work in you, is the degree to which the works will be done through you. The presence of Faith in you is the proof of the power at work in you. Faith is the trigger of explosive divine power. Jesus would often say to his disciples; "where is your faith? “...”why is it that you have no faith? “...”if you have faith, you can command a mountain to relocate, and it will.". So we see that the power at work in us is the faith in God in our hearts. Faith comes by hearing, grows by knowing, diminishes by fearing, and conquers by doing. Put your faith to work today. Shalom Uvracha!

Rom 10: 17 — So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
