“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
Jas.5.15
Discussion
The bible teaches that the prayer of faith has tremendous power to produce results supernaturally. The fact that we're made aware of the prayer of faith implies that there is the prayer of doubt. The prayer of doubt lacks power to produce your desired result. When it comes to prayer, there's no neutral ground. It's either the prayer of faith, or it's the prayer of doubt. The prayer of doubt may be lengthy or brief, loud or quiet, in public or in private, but as long as you're doubting the ability and willingness of God to answer your prayer, you will deny yourself of answers to that prayer. Doubt is also called double-mindedness. Jas.1.6-7; "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." The prayer of faith is bold, audacious, and unrelenting. It absolutely believes and is fully persuaded that God will grant the request made. The prayer of faith will heal the sick, raise the bedridden, remove condemnation from the heart of people (James 5:15). The prayer of faith will deliver you in times of trouble (2Kings 19:1-37), save you from death (Acts 12:5-9), bring provisions supernaturally (Matthew 14:19-20) and much more. How do you build your faith to produce results in prayer? By knowing God! Your faith to receive is affected by your knowledge of who is to grant your request. The more you know God, the stronger your faith becomes. Faith is what is required to have prayers produce results. And knowledge is what builds faith. Strive to know God more. Dan.11:32; "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." The way to grow in knowledge of God is by growing in knowledge of His word. The invisible God is revealed in His visible word by Christ Jesus. All that is to be known of God is revealed in Christ Jesus (Col 1:15, HEB 1:3). So, give yourself to the study of the bible and prayer. So shall your knowledge of God grow and your faith strengthened to produce great results in prayer. Shalom Uvracha!
