“When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.”
Prov.6.22
Discussion
The word you have received is what talks to you. That's what our opening verse explains to us. Prov.6.22; "When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee." The word is to be received in all reverence and submission of heart. Then the word leads us and keeps us. The word guides us and guards us. The word is lamp to our feet and light to our path. Many get confused in life and are unable to know what to do. I can tell you your problem as well as the solution. You haven't received God's word. If you would truly give yourself to the hearing and studying of God's word, you'll never be short of wisdom and understanding of God's will for your life. When you're asleep, the word will come to you in dreams and visions, and when you're awake, the word will be speaking to you. If you have trouble hearing God's voice on any matter, the problem is that you haven't given opportunity for God's voice to come to you. If you're empty of God's word, you'll be bankrupt of God's voice. If you lack God's word, you will lack God's voice. So what should you do? Fill yourself daily with God's word by regular diligent study and hearing of God's word. Then you'll find that God's voice is always with you, guiding your every step. You'll never walk in darkness one more day of your life. Shalom Uvracha!
